The grandeur of tuberose drizzled with molten golden caramel and wrapped in smokey chestnut. Uninhibited, the opening radiates richness and warmth. Velvety tuberose absolute enveloped by the heat of roasted chestnut makes for a surprisingly lush and delightful combination. Tuberose distillate adds freshness to the the luscious layers, keeping the composition refined and soft. As the top layers gradually settle a sweet, balmy tonka bean note develops at the heart.
Shyamala Maisondieu, the nose behind this fragrance says
“It’s all about balance. I had to find the right harmony between pleasure and refinement, addiction and elegance.”
This she certainly has achieved for Tubéreuses Castane is a deliciously mellow and sensual fragrance with all the lush golden colors of autumn.
Sillage and longevity are impressive. On my skin the fragrance lasts the whole day. Tubéreuses Castane is available as EDP and is a part of Lancôme’s Les Parfums Grands Crus collection which was released in 2016. Being a part of the exclusive range does put it on the expensive side. Which is one downside of the fragrance. But given the quality of the ingredients and the fact that a bottle should last for a very long time I think it is well worth the money.
Tubéreuses Castane is a gourmand white floral with the following notes: Roasted chestnut, tuberose absolute, tuberose distillate, and venezuelan tonka bean.
